SSB Odisha PGT Eligibility Criteria 2024 :

To be eligible to apply for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), candidates must meet specific criteria regarding their educational background and age limit:

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in the subject they intend to teach from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks.

• Alternatively, they should have completed a six-year integrated Master’s course from a Regional College of Education recognized by NCERT.

• Additionally, candidates must possess a B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE. However, for certain subjects like Commerce, Education, Geology, etc., a B.Ed. degree is not mandatory.

Age Limit:

Applicants need to be 21 years old or older but no more than 38 years old by January 1, 2024. There are some special rules:

• Some groups like SC, ST, SEBC, women, or ex-servicemen can be up to 5 years older.

• If someone has a 40% or more disability, they can be up to 10 years older.

• People with disabilities from SC/ST/SEBC groups can be up to 15 years older.
