Individuals aiming for WB Police Constable positions need to have cleared the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. However, this language requirement doesn’t extend to permanent residents of the hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts, as they are subject to different linguistic provisions.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old as of January 1, 2024, to meet the age criteria. The recruitment process provides relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories:

  • OBC-A/OBC-B: 3 years
  • Transgender: 3 years
  • Civic Volunteers: 5 years
